The Lopi Radiant Plus Medium GSB Gas Fireplace Insert offers a powerful, cost-effective, and attractive heating solution designed to handle the region’s demanding climate. Perfect for mid-sized spaces, this insert combines high-efficiency performance with modern technology, making it a smart upgrade for homes in places like Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne City, and beyond.

Designed for Michigan Winters

Michigan’s winters are known for being harsh, with freezing temperatures, lake-effect snow, and occasional power outages. The Radiant Plus Medium GSB is built to perform reliably during these tough conditions.

Equipped with Lopi’s GreenSmart® Basic (GSB) ignition system, this insert offers both efficiency and convenience, while still functioning during power failures. It’s ideal for homes, cabins, and vacation properties where dependable heat is essential all season long.

Why Radiant Heat Matters in Northern Michigan

Unlike forced-air systems that heat the air, radiant heat warms objects and people directly, providing a more comfortable and consistent temperature—especially important in drafty or older Michigan homes.

Combined with natural convection, the Radiant Plus Medium GSB circulates warm air throughout the room, making it an effective zone-heating solution that helps lower your overall heating costs in the winter.

Perfect for Mid-Sized Homes or Cabins

Whether you’re looking to supplement central heat in a year-round home or need a primary heat source for a seasonal cabin, this insert fits the bill:

• Great for smaller homes or cottages around Torch Lake, Glen Arbor, or Alpena

• Perfect for homeowners upgrading from outdated wood-burning fireplaces

• Ideal for use in areas prone to winter storms or blackouts

Its compact size makes it easy to install in most existing fireplaces without sacrificing performance or visual impact.

Style Meets Performance

The Radiant Plus Medium GSB insert features a clean and modern flame presentation, a detailed log set, and customizable face options to match both traditional and contemporary Michigan home styles.

Choose from a variety of decorative faces and trims to complement rustic lake homes, classic farmhouses, or modern retreats tucked away in the woods. The large glass viewing window showcases a beautiful fire that adds ambiance and warmth to your living space.
